Advantage Plastic Products Launches New Enterprise System

Concord, NH — Advantage Plastic Products (APP) acknowledged over the course of several years that in order to keep up with continued growth, customer needs, industry changes, internal communication and overall efficiencies a new and centralized Enterprise System was needed. After reviewing the industries top Enterprise Systems, APP selected IQMS in Q4 of 2015 and started implementation and migration work through 2016 going live January 1, 2017.

IQMS, based in Paso Robles, California, is tailored to injection molders and is an industry leader. Their centralized system allows APP to view production in real-time, schedule orders visually, plan kan-ban structures more efficiently, handle mold maintenance plans as well as centralize documentation, planning activities and labeling requirements.

During the implementation phase, APP evaluated its core processes and tested scenarios that would improve business activities from the front office to the shipping dock. This structured and planned approach was complimented in November 2016 during their annual ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit by Intertek. According to Intertek’s lead auditor Cindy Gould:

“With the introduction of the new ERP system here … all data integrity is maintained. This is very well done and control is well maintained. The process is effective to … and that the new system is brought on line in a phased process.”

Any Enterprise System implementation and launch is critical to a company’s structure and integrity, and by evaluating all phases of business and structure APP mitigated issues that have plagued other launches within the plastics industry. APP’s customers and vendors saw seamless changes and business continued without delay or interruption.

APP continues to plan additional Enterprise System changes over 2017 and into 2018 to further enhance its performance.
